According to a post from the webmaster of the official site, Ed, Richie and Dan are a bit shocked by the news themselves and will soon let everyone know what they intend to do. I suggest they no longer use the name "The Darkness" if they plan to continue playing together.
Goodluck to Justin, Dan, Ed, Richie and Frankie. I still sincerely cherish the memories I've had from November 2003 until my last Darkness show at Wembley in London, December 12, 2004.

 CONTEST! WIN PRIZES!
I told Dan that our goal for the petition was 1000 names. We have 605 names now thanks to the last e-mail I got. It shouldn't be too hard to get up to 1000...Brandi from NJ got 100 names for the petition all by herself. (You're awesome!)
So if getting names for the petition seems like too much work I thought up something that could make it fun (this is especially directed at the members of the Unofficial US Street team). We're going to have a competition to see who can get the most names plus you can win prizes along the way!
Prizes:
For every 10 names: a certificate of acheivement to show off to your friends 
For every 25 names: a US Street Team keychain
For every 50 names: a US Street Team door hanger
For the person who compiles the biggest list: a secret grand prize! (I promise it's good)

| We have a little over 600 names for the petition but we're still trying to put together 1000 names before we send it to Atlantic Records. Please help out if you want The Darkness to tour in US/Canada. Even if you already sent your name to me I'm sure you have at least 10 friends who would like to be on the petition.
